Clinical Pilates by CPI® Course

Clinical Pilates by CPI® Course

Joseph Pilates developed an exercise method in the early 20th century, which he named Contrology, to address various musculoskeletal and respiratory issues that troubled him. The method later became widely known under his name and has since been used globally with excellent results in various exercise settings.

Clinical Pilates by CPI® is a therapeutic exercise method applied to groups of individuals requiring specialized treatment. It is used for the rehabilitation of various conditions, such as musculoskeletal injuries, neurological and cardiovascular diseases, as well as for the training and maintenance of individuals' physical condition, with the aim of preventing and avoiding pathological conditions. It helps stabilize the spine, promotes correct posture, enhances the functionality of peripheral joints, strengthens muscles, and improves proprioception and body balance.

Target Audience:

The Clinical Pilates by CPI® method is specifically designed for physiotherapists and professionals working in the fields of health and rehabilitation. Based on Joseph Pilates' classic exercise program, the method has been developed to aid in the rehabilitation of various conditions. Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to apply the core principles of the method and use the exercise program in the treatment of musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular, respiratory, and other conditions.

Additionally, they will be taught how to organize individual and group Clinical Pilates sessions, addressing specific groups such as professional athletes, pregnant women, and the elderly.

By the end of the course, participants will be equipped to perform clinical assessments of their clients, create personalized programs tailored to individual needs, and organize group classes. They will also have access to sample Clinical Pilates by CPI® programs for common pathologies they may encounter. The Clinical Pilates by CPI® method can be used as part of a rehabilitation program, as a personalized therapeutic exercise regimen, or in group sessions. It is undoubtedly a valuable tool in the hands of healthcare professionals.
