Join us for an immersive and advanced workshop designed specifically for massage therapists looking to deepen their understanding and skills in clinical orthopedic massage techniques targeting the hips, abdomen, and lower back. This hands-on class will blend anatomical knowledge with practical application, equipping participants with the tools to address common myo-skeletal issues and enhance overall client well-being.

  • Review and Integrate Relevant Anatomy and Kinesiology: Participants will apply a deepened understanding of the anatomy and kinesiology of the Hip, Low Back and Abdomen.

  • Analyze and Differentiate Common Myoskeletal Conditions: Participants will be able to accurately identify and differentiate between common Myoskeletal conditions affecting the Hip Low Back and Abdomen such as Low Back Pain, Sciatica, Hip Mobility issues and Abdominal issues and Hip Flexor tightness.

  • Conduct Client Assessments: Participants will assess a client’s gait, posture and use active/passive Range or Motion to identify potential imbalances or dysfunction.

  • Apply Clinical Techniques: Participants will perform the application of clinical massage techniques, including but not limited to, Myofascial and NeuroMuscular muscle energy techniques (MET), to effectively treat soft tissue restrictions.

  • Develop Targeted Treatment Plans based on Case studies: Participants will work in groups to design and articulate a systematic, multi-session treatment plan for clients with chronic or complex Hip Low Back and Abdomen, integrating a variety of orthopedic massage techniques.

Learning Objectives:

Certification

Participants will receive electronic course materials, and upon completion of the seminar, they will be awarded a certificate of attendance, recognized by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB).

Eligibility

The seminar is open to physiotherapists, physiotherapy assistants, wellness professionals, chiropractors, and osteopaths.
